Sunday Well Spent: 3 Must Reads

I couldn't agree more.

There is nothing like being motivated, organised and prepared for the week ahead when it comes to a sunday.

For me it's getting up fresh on a Sunday to clean, making a good breakfast to set me up for the day, having an empty wash basket, work uniform ironed & ready for the week ahead, doing a food shop and basically getting everything ticked off the to do list that set me up for a good week.  I wish i could say i do this every sunday and thats why i know but in reality I know because the week after sundays I don't prepare and get things done aren't always the best weeks for me. I am constantly tired due to late nights catching up on the to do list, early mornings to get my uniform ready and i'm unhealthy because I haven't prepped or planned my meals ahead or done a food shop so I end up having the quick, easy & unhealthy options.

My point for this post is to motivate myself and you reading this to use today or any other sunday well to prepare for the week ahead and to avoid the setbacks throughout the week that your own choices has lead you to. I'm no inspirational speaker nor to I try to be or am I someone to take advice from considering I am making this mistake A LOT. But I have always gone to quotes and articles to give me some motivation and I am going to share a few I have come across that is inspiring me and motivating me to have a happy & healthy week.

This article really struck a chord with me as I am really guilty of comparing myself and my life to everyone elses. I constantly put myself down for not progressing in life as quick as others or holding myself back from things because someone has done or got it first and don't want to be seen as the one who is copying them. In reality those people wouldn't even notice if I had done or got it because I seen it first. But the mind works in crazy ways. This week I aim to be less hard on myself and try not to compare what I see from others to mine. If you suffer from anxiety like me you know this is a common occurrence to think like this and will be hard to stop but God loves a trying and slowly but surely this is something WE can stop for sake of our own happiness!

'Grass is always greener on the other side'
If you struggle to get up in mornings or when going to bed you already dread getting up the next day, I with you on that! This article (HERE) gives simple steps to try out to help make the morning easier and kind of force yourself to get up and that can also eases you into the day and hopefully allow you to have a great day! One thing I would recommend is at least one day of the work week (and only if you usually do this) is to not turn the TV on. This is something I am definitely going to try because I know that is something that holds me back in morning because I always want to see what happens next!

Meal planning and doing the weekly shopping on a Sunday is good for keeping you organised for the week, prepared for those late evenings getting in from and stops you from having to go for a chippy for handiness (Just me?).

Hope these tips help you to a healthy, happy & Content Week!

WE CAN DO THIS!
